Senator Kathy Klausmeier has represented Baltimore County in the Maryland General Assembly for 28 years. Before her time in the legislature, Sen. Klausmeier worked as a child-life coordinator in the Pediatric Department of St. Joseph Medical Center.

She began a life of public service as the president of the PTA for Gunpowder Elementary. Sen. Klausmeier currently serves as the Finance Committee Vice Chair in the Maryland Senate. Kathy lives in Baltimore County with her husband and has two daughters and four grandchildren.
